If you have gotten your iDevice jailbroken, then I guess you must have installed one or more Cydia tweaks on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Of course there are thousands of tweaks from different repos available on Cydia some of which are paid while others are free. In this thesis I will be discussing the top 5 best free Cydia tweaks for your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch devices.

Auxo

Auxo is a cool multitasking app for iOS. Its launched just the normal way by double clicking your home button but unlike the inbuilt multitasking app, auxo shows a preview of all app running in background, you can close any app by swiping down the app windows, it also has music control pane by swiping right panel; swiping right one more time bring you to the control pane where you have shortcuts to turn on / off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, flashlight, 3G, airplane mode, etc.

Barrel

Unlike Android, iPhone has only one launcher which I dont think can be replaced but can be tweaked with tweaks from Cydia. DisplayCandy

This one I like very much. What does it do? According to the name it has something to do with your display. DisplayCandy customizes your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with different animations on any application launch, close or switch. You could choose random if you want different animations to be shown randomly. It costs $2 in BigBoss repository.

PasswordPilot

I really like this one too. It relieve me the stress of typing my Apple password each and every time I need to download an app from the App store. From your iDevice settings, just give your Apple password to password pilot and it will automatically input it into App store each time your password is required. That's what it does, soo simple and time saving. Its available for free in BigBoss repository.

Zephyr

I would also call this a simple multitasking app. Its feature is said to be available by default on Apple iPad devices. How does it do its job? when installed and set up, just swipe your finger from one side of your screen to the other to switch between running apps, swipe from the bottom of the screen to close the foreground app, pinch three fingers on the screen to go to the app launcher. It also has four-fingers switcher, pinch to close and more. You should check those out yourself. Its costs $4.99 in BigBoss repository.

Steps To Activate Windows 8 Pro Permanently

1. First we are going to start by installing a MAC key in windows command window. Open elevated command windows (run command as admin). Run the command below and hit enter while replacing your key with any of the MAC keys below.

4. Select United Kingdom and click next. A new window should come up, write down the numbers from Step 2, there are 9 group of numbers there.


5. Now launch Skype. You can download it from the store if you dont have it already.

6. From Skype Dial +448000188354 (it's a Tollfree number, so it's free).



7. Press 1 when asked how many PC you want to activate and press # to skip the instructions.

When windows 8 consumer preview first came out, I downloaded and installed it on my MacBook using a virtual machine just to see what it looked like. Now that it has been launched officially, I then decided to partition my Mac's hard drive using bootcamp and I installed windows 8 with an external hard drive.

The installation went well, I installed bootcamp 4.0 drivers for windows 7 since Apple haven't released bootcamp drivers for windows 8. Then I noticed something weird, windows 8 keeps freezing randomly. I then googled out some solutions, some of which include enabling Hyper V, disabling dynamic tick and updating Nvidia drivers for windows 8 but none of them seems to work as the problem persist.

I finally figured out what was causing the freezes on windows 8, it had something to do with the processor cacheing activities going on in the background while you use windows. Luckily there is a way to disable this option from the system setting. I did that and it worked. Google chrome is also a major contributor to the freezing problem on windows 8, so if problem continues while using chrome, the only solution to this is not to use chrome at all.

How I Fixed Windows 8 Hanging / Freezing On My MacBook Pro

• First of all I re-installed windows 8
• I installed bootcamp 4.0 drivers for windows 7
• I headed to the control panel >> System >> Advance system settings
• I clicked the "Advance" tab. Under performance, I clicked settings.
• I then clicked the "Advance" tab in performance options
• Under virtual memory, I clicked Change.
• Then I unchecked Automatically manage paging file size for all drives
• I choose No paging file and clicked Set.

• Finally I hit OK and restarted windows.

There are different methods by which you can install a windows operating system into your computer, one of them is by using a flash drive or an external hard disk. Another method which is very common is by using a windows 7 or windows 8 DVD but I personally prefer using a flash drive or hard drive because it saves time and consumes less power from the computer's hardware.

Some days ago I installed windows 8 Pro on my MacBook in less than 15 minutes with an external hard disk. If I were to use a windows 8 DVD, trust me it's gonna take more than 30 minutes. So how's it gonna go down? Well, the whole process is pretty simple, we are just gonna run some commands using windows command prompt after copying the windows setup files into the flash or hard drive we will be using and we are done.

Step 1: Plug in your flash drive or external hard drive into your computer

Step 2: Go to "My Computer", right click on the drive, choose "Format" and click Start. Make sure the file system selected is NTFS and quick format is checked.

Step 3: Copy the windows 8 extracted files (you can extract the windows ISO file using WinRAR or 7Zip software) into the drive you formatted.

Step 4: Run command prompt as an administrator, type "Diskpart" without the quote and click enter.

Technology has revolutionized the world, these days browsing the web on our smartphones isn't any different from how we do it on the computer. Most of the internet browsers we use on our computer are already available on our smartphone on their respective operating systems. Example include the Chrome, Firefox and Opera including their features and functionality.

The Samsung Galaxy S IV will be having a new striking feature call Eye tracking technology which will allow the screen to be controlled by the user's eye movement. According to a new report in advance of its march 14 unveiling, the Samsung Galaxy S IV will have a new technology that will allow for automatic scrolling and page tuning when the user's eye have reach the bottom of the screen.



There is a possibility that this eye controlling feature will allow for playing games video games. its a good thing to be able to control our phones without having to touch them. Samsung has filed in Europe to trademark a technology called "Eye Scroll" and another named "Eye Pause."

Samsung described "Eye Scroll" as "computer application software having a feature of sensing eye movements and scrolling displays of mobile devices, namely, mobile phones, smartphones and tablet computers according to eye movements; digital cameras; mobile telephones; smartphones; tablet computers."

According to Samsung the Galaxy S 4 design will be heavily geared towards its software and not much will be done with its hardware. We already got its hardware specifications in this article.

The Samsung Galaxy S III already has a similar feature called "Smart Stay." It uses the phone's front-facing camera to register whether the user is looking at it and keeps the display screen from going into sleep mode until the user looks away from the screen.

Samsung's most anticipated smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S IV had its features and specifications leaked few days ago from a test which the device underwent by Antutu benchmark. Of course everyone would expect a more powerful smartphone, one that is better than the ones we had in every aspect one can think of.

CPU & Memory

The Samsung Galaxy S IV will sport an Exynos 5 Octa 5410 chipset with a CPU running at 1.8GHz, 2GB of RAM and a PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU. Previously the Samsung Galaxy S IV was rumored to sport the Exynos 5 Octa 5450 chipset rather than 5410. But Still, the four Cortex-A15 cores combined with four Cortex-A7's are sure to be a pretty capable combo.

Display

According to Antutu benchmark result test, the Samsung Galaxy S IV will have a 4.99" screen of Full HD resolution, providing a pixel density of 441 ppi. Android 4.2 is what the Galaxy S IV will run on out of box.

Network

Interestingly, the scoresheet confirms that the Exynos Octa chip on the Galaxy S IV supports GSM, WCDMA as well as LTE networks.

Camera & Design

Unlike Samsung's high end devices which have 8MP camera in them, the Samsung Galaxy S IV will sport a 13MP camera and the body would be built from plastic.

It is an undeniable fact that RIM has really hit it big in the smartphone world and the fact that internet packages on Blackberry is less expensive than what we used to have on other devices and also their data is unlimited bandwidth is a giant factor in the success of RIM. This factor, at a point in time almost got me buying a Blackberry even when I have no interest in it.



But something happened recently, RIM launched Blackberry OS 10 and loaded it into their latest smartphone, the Blackberry Z10 which is popularly known as Blackberry Bold 10. According to RIM, the Blackberry OS 10 will not support BIS which means one will have to subscribe to a non-BIS data plan which is more expensive and comes with restricted data.

The routine use of Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) to deliver new public infrastructure and improve the quality of service delivery is increasing internationally. As many hundreds of PPP projects enter the operational phase, it is becoming clear that most are working well and delivering significant benefits for public authorities and service users alike. It is equally clear that the value created by PPP projects is maximised when public-private relations are underpinned by a properly designed PPP contract management framework, which outlines the service outputs that the authority requires, the methods for measuring and monitoring performance, and the regime under which the payment due to the private partner is determined. It is the PPP contract management framework that puts into effect the transfer of risk and responsibility between the authority and the private sector, creating the incentives for the latter to deliver facilities and services on time and to budget - and to deliver public services at the level of performance and quality that the client requires for the full length of the contractual period.



The economic characteristics and detailed design of the payment mechanism are central to the achievement of value for money. There are a number of points of detail involved in assigning numbers to the various parts of the payment mechanism - a process that is referred to as calibration. Getting the calibration of the payment mechanism right is critical to ensuring that facilities and services are delivered to contract and that the client can enforce them. A payment mechanism may appear robust or even rigid - but if the rectification times are overly permissive, or the services are poorly defined, then it will be difficult for the client to enforce the mechanism. The appropriate calibration of the payment mechanism is key to achieving value for money, risk transfer, workability and success of the commercial aspects of the project. Good calibration leads to a good operational public-private relationship and requires an experienced project team, supported by the right technology.

Calibration needs to be considered in the context of the services specification within the PPP contract management system. This defines the services to be provided, the priority attached to these services and the rectification time that is available to the private partner to resolve a service failure (in which the private partner should not incur deductions – so that, instead, these are only levied if a service failure is not addressed by the end of the rectification period). The services specification may include both temporary rectification periods and permanent rectification periods. In addition, the accommodation schedules and the weightings or priorities given to different areas must be considered. For the public authority client, a broken light in a class room or operating theatre is a more salient matter than the same problem in a store room. The PPP contract management system mechanism needs to apply a greater deduction for the former than for the latter to incentivise the provider to allocate resources intelligently.

For authorities, a PPP project can be regarded as successful if it delivers cost-effective, reliable services at the price and quality defined in the contract. Authorities will also expect service outcomes to be both auditable and transparent. Meeting these objectives requires effective interaction between the different components of the PPP contract management regime. The authority’s requirements should be framed in terms of an output specification which the private partner must endeavour to meet through the delivery of construction and asset-related services (both “soft” and “hard” facilities management). The quality of service delivery is then measured and monitored through the PPP contract management system, which determines the correct payments from the authority. Where the quality of service delivery falls short of that outlined in the output specification, the payment mechanism determines the appropriate scale of the deduction. It is essential that there is a good understanding among the various contractual parties of the relationship between the requirements in the output specification, the performance measurement system, and the method for making performance deductions as set out in the payment mechanism.

Recently, I published a post on Google USB & ADB driver installation for Google android devices. For fastboot to work, you must have downloaded and installed Google USB driver for your android phone or tablet. In the rest of this post, I'll be talking about the common fastboot commands that you normally would need and they are used.

1. Flashing Recovery Fastboot Command

This command is used to flash custom recovery image into android device using the fast boot command below.

The last word in the command above "Recovery.img" would be the name of the recovery you are flashing, e.g if I named my recover Galaxyrecovery.img the the command would go like this:

2. Unlocking Bootloader Fastboot Command

This command unlocks the boot loader of any android device, but note that you must have received the boot loader unlock file from the device manufacturer before this can be done. If you have gotten the file already, move it to this location  C:\Android\platform-tools. Then run the command below:

3. Flashing Boot & System Fastboot Command

On some HTC android phones, you would need to flash the boot.img file of any custom ROM you install if you want the phone to boot up. Getting the boot.img file of the custom rom is easy, just extract the custom ROM zip file with 7zip or Winrar software and copy the boot.img file from the system folder to this directory on your computer: C:\Android\platform-tools. Now run the command below.

Fastboot Flash Boot boot.img

4. Changing Directory In Fastboot

To use fast boot, of course you will need to use the command window and navigate to the location where fastboot.exe is saved. if your computer runs Windows 7 or Windows 8, there is a shortcut to make the command window navigate directly to fastboot location. How? just open "my computer" and goto C:\Android\platform-tools. Hold down the shift key on your keyboard and right click on your mouse. You should see "Open command window here" from the pop-up. Click it and command window will open and automatically navigate to that location.

But if you use Windows XP or earler versions of windows that doesn't have that feature, then you would have to do it manually by clicking on Start, click run, type cmd in the text box and hit enter. Now use the command below to navigate to any directory on your computer.

cd C:\Android

The command above will navigate fastboot to the android folder under C drive, if you are navigating to another location, you should know what to add.

In the android world we have a good number of android phones and tablet made by different mobile phone manufacturing companies. Some of these phones and tablet are designed for Google, in this case they use a different software driver. One which is different from the common drivers that comes with other phones.

How To Download Google Android USB Driver & ADB

You can download the Google android driver via Google SDK Manager. The USB Driver for Windows is available for download as an optional SDK component.

• Download SDK Manager, install it on your computer, launch it.
• Expand Extras.
• Check Google USB Driver package and click Install.
• The drivers are automatically downloaded to "C:\Android\sdk\extras\google\usb_driver"

Sometimes the SDK Manager may not download the drivers. Don't panic, I have zipped and uploaded a copy of  Google USB driver to this location: Download Google ADB Driver.

After downloading the file, extract it to the C drive of your computer. If that went well, that means you have successfully downloaded Google USB driver for your Google android device. Now let's proceed to the next step.

Installing Google USB Driver & ADB For Google Android Phones

As I said earlier that some android phones are designed for Google and that these phones and tablets needs Google USB driver before they communicate with your computer. The list below contains the names of some of those android phones.

• Samsung Nexus S
• Samsung Galaxy Nexus
• HTC Tmobile G1
• Google Nexus 4
• Google Nexus 7
• Google Nexus 10
• Google Nexus One 
• Motorola Verizon Droid
• HTC T-Mobile myTouch 3G

So if your phone or tablet is listed above, you will need to install Google ADB drivers if you want your phone and computer to communicate together and here is the how to. Before proceeding, make sure that USB debugging mode is checked in your phone's settings.



Step 1: Connect your android phone or tablet to your computer via a USB cord. Your computer will try to automatically install the drivers but in most cases it would fail. Wait a while till you get a prompt from your taskbar that Windows cannot install the drivers for your device.

Step 2: Hit Start button, move your mouse to My computer, right click on it and click Manage. The Computer Management window should open, now click Device Manager. Here you should see that driver fail icon. The image below shows an example on Galaxy Nexus.


Step 3: Right click on the phone's name and select Update driver software. Click "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"




Step 4: Click on Show All Devices and click Next.



Step 5: With the list of devices displayed, click on Have Disk button.



Step 6: Browse to the location where you extracted the Google USB driver you downloaded earlier and click ok. I extracted mine to "C:\Android\sdk\extras\google\usb_driver"



Step 7: Pick the "Android Composite ADB Interface" driver and click on Next button.



Step 8: You will be asked to accept the driver installation, do it and be done with this part of drivers setup.

Installing Android Bootloader Interface Driver

Now that you are done installing the software driver for your device.You should install the Bootloader interface driver which allows you communicate with your phone in Bootloader mode when flashing custom recoveries with fastboot.

Make sure USB Debugging is still enabled in your phone. With the USB cord connected, manually boot into Bootloader mode, there are several ways to do this but if don't know how, download Quickboot from Play store. You will notice in Device Manager the new unrecognized Android 1.0 device. Follow the same steps explained above and when you reach the driver selection, choose "Android Bootloader Interface".

Blog design, the very first thing you do when setting up a blog, it is also one of the key elements of any successful blog. This is the first TechCrunch style blogger template which I designed as closely as it could be to TechCrunch theme. Header

The header is divided into two sections, floating to the left is the header logo, floating to the right is a ready made 728 x 90 ad placement right beside the header logo.
